Weekend Herb Blogging #354 - Recap

It's an intimate gathering this week but it's a good mix of healthy, nutritious and comforting dishes. As usual, I've arranged the dishes in order of main ingredient.

Maitake Mushroom

Tigerfish from Teczcape - An escape to food

A healthy stir-fry is on offer featuring Maitake mushrooms, sauteed in a mix of soy and cooking wine and flavoured with garlic and green onions they are served on a bed of noodles. Tigerfish notes that the Maitake mushroom have a more woodsy flavour.

Paparòt Soup (Traditional Spinach & Polenta Soup)
Cinzia from Cindystar

Cinzia shares a recipe from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy - a comforting soup full of nutritious spinach, perfect for those cooler autumn nights.

Vegan Streusel
Brii from Briggishome

Brii describes this as "fake parmigiano" a mix of almond, sesame seeds and nutritional yeast.

Zucchini Gateau with Cumin
Cristina from La Cucina di Cristina

Cristina's zucchini gateaux is flavoured with cumin and tasty gruyere and would be a fabulous dish to take on a picnic.
