6 pieces of fruit (pears, apples, nectarines, peaches, plums, apricots, cherries, grapes - whatever your favourites are), sliced
¼ cup blanched almonds
2 cinnamon sticks
peel of 1 orange
juice of 1 orange
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
Place the sliced fruit in a baking tray, add the nuts, cinnamon sticks, orange peel and juice. Mix roughly. Sprinkle with the brown sugar.
Bake for about 20 minutes. Enjoy it hot or cold.
It's excellent served with Bircher Museli or Ricotta Pudding.
I'm a huge fan of cooked fruits. Since I'm allergic to almost all fresh fruits (except citrus and berries) this is about the only way I can enjoy them.
ReplyDeletewhat exactley is the texture of the baked fruit. i recently had some at a natural eatery(they were cold not warm). they were also gummy. not the nasty suger gummy afruit but a nice simple tough gummy texture. is that what these fruits turn uot to be like? thanks
